Uncalled-4 have been singing together now for about two years. They are dual members with the Colby Tumbleweed Chorus and the High Plains Chorus. When they first started out, they were having trouble finding a name, then one day a friend said “well, if you don’t have a name, then the first time I introduce you I’m going to call you, Uncalled-4!” Well, we talked it over and decided that might be a good name for us, so it stuck! Al Finkbeiner sings the Baritone part. Al is from Russell, he retired last fall from Coffeeville Resources. He is now hauling oil part time for Wallace Energies. Al sang for 8 years with Bruce in the Lasting Impressions. Al has also sung in several other quartets. Gary Horchem sings the lead part. Gary is from Ransom, and is a farmer. Gary and Al sang together several years ago in a quartet called The Counterparts. Warren Stafford sings the Bass part. Warren is from Hill City. Warren was the music teacher in the Hill City School system for many years, he is now retired. Warren has only been singing barbershop for about four years, and this is his first quartet experience. If you enjoy our singing, please remember our name is “Uncalled-4”. If you don’t enjoy it, then we might be just uncalled for! We hope you enjoy the show!
