Barbara Schaffner Teaches Four-Day Oil Painting Workshop

Barbara Schaffner was an honors student at West Texas State University, majoring in fine art and art education. Her western scenes and wildlife paintings have hung in galleries in six western states and Canada. Success has come through numerous shows and top awards and honors including Wyoming Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year 2003. Barbara can be found at ther studio called “Wyoming Trails Gallery” located at 1004 16th St., Wheatland, WY.

The Dane G. Hansen Memorial Museum takes great pride in bringing Ms. Schaffner to Logan for her 7th year in a row. This dynamic four-day workshop will guide intermediate and advanced artists in a step by step process to complete two paintings. Students will be encouraged to stretch and challenge themselves as they strive for individuality. Each lesson will include discussion of composition, color theory and technique.

Emphasis will be on drawing, sensitivity, and beautiful use of the oil medium. Time will also be set aside for critique. Please bring your own photos to use as a reference.
